If you are driving to the boat, use ‘Masjid Al Rahim’ (click for map) Mosque in Dubai Marina as a reference.

Another nearby landmark is ‘Lotus Hotel & Spa’ in Dubai Marina.

If you are taking a TAXI you can tell the same Masjid Al Rahim mosque as reference, make sure to clarify its next to Lotus Hotel & Spa.

Driving Directions

  • You should take Sheikh Zayed Road Until ‘EXIT 29’ and stick to the left fork once you are taking the Exit.
  • After you have taken the left road on the fork and once you are on the bridge, you need to take the first right.
  • As you follow the road you will see the mosque on your left side.

Parking

Option 1: All along the roads in that area is street parking owned by RTA. Make sure you pay the fee by SMS.

Option 2: Incase you cannot find RTA parking, there is a paid parking lot called ‘Green Parking’, located just after the Choitram supermarket, slightly down the road from Lotus Hotel & Spa.

Walking To The Boat

  • Usually infront of the boat we have a Team Member, Anjoh (052 899 6337) who meets guests and guides them towards the boat.
  • Once infront of the mosque, to the left of it there is a path/walk way which leads down to the ‘Marina Promenade’ which is basically the pedesetrian path along the water.
  • Once you have walked down the pathway, walk to your right, there is a glassdoor entrance.
  • At the entrance, specify you are going to “Alexandra” and you will be guided to the boat.

SAILING ROUTE

We sail through the entire Dubai Marina Canal and the lagoon infront of Palm Island.
We do not go out to open sea.

Alexandra is a 90 foot traditional Dhow made from teak wood, refurbished into a floating restaurant.

Onboard “Alexandra” we have two live acts – a singer and dancer.

WALID

The ‘tanura’ dance show is a folk dance program which consists of constant rotations that are mixed with various patterns and designs of the intricately designed dress.

NATALIA

Our lovely singer Natalia starts of the evening with some soft music in the style of pop, rock, jazz and even some classical pieces.

ASHIK

Ashik is a game host and magician – he has a real talent for intrigue and showmanship which he uses to add spice to any private function.

Most organizations have an event atleast once a year and at Alexandra we try to make it a point to make every event memorably and genuinely enjoyable.

In reality, a lot of employees participate in such events not because they particularly want to, but because they are expected to. We believe its not right, and work meticulously to ensure that every event is planned to perfection.

There are 4 key elements of any corporate event and only when all 4 work together in unison is the event a success.

#1 Venue: Corporate Event Venue in Dubai

The first and foremost element of any event planning is selecting the venue.

Alexandra is a unique venue and is a perfect fit for a small to mid-size organization.

Every corporate team is comprised of different nationalities and thus its important to select a menu that everyone will enjoy.

Besides the taste in menu, another important aspect is budget – and the menu must match the allocated budget of the business.

#3 Logistics & Timing

Logistics & timing of the event is crucial to make the event a success.

Some teams prefer a lunch timing, some prefer an early dinner and some prefer a late evening cruise.

Some prefer to join our sharing cruise and some want to have a private cruise with a custom duration of the cruise.

Some corporate companies require transportation.

Table arrangement and set up is also unique to every team and needs.

#4 Corporate Activities in Dubai & Entertainment

The last component of any private event is the entertainment or live show.

We offer 4 main activities for corporate events:

Team Building Activities & Host

The Team Building Activity consists of splitting the entire group into equal teams and going through a set of games which require the teams to work together in order to defeat the other teams.

This lasts about 60-90 minutes and is only feasible for around a maximum of 50-55 people.

Live Singer

We have a full time singer, Natalia who sings pop, jazz and soft rock in English. She is able to do a maximum of 2 x 30/40 minute sets.

Live Tanura Dancer

We also have a full time dancer – Walid, who is a real maestro when it comes to dancing. He can ‘spin’ for a straight 15-20 minutes and his show is truly dynamic and visually impressive.

Magic Show

For private events, we work with Ashik, who is a very well known magician in Dubai and is able to do a wide range magic tricks that will amaze even the most harden sceptics.
