Alexandra is a perfect venue for all kinds of private events: weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, team building activities & any other reason for a group of people to gather and celebrate.

upper deck

the upper deck is a great space with great views and the feeling of being outdoor on a boat, while having the benefits of being comfortably seated in a restaurant environment.
the upper deck has its own buffet setup and own audio system that can be different from the lower deck.

  • Seperate Buffet Tables & Bar Counter
  • Top End Audio System

the lower deck is climate controlled and its optimal during the warmer, or in fact the cooler months. It is air conditioned and has full height panoramic windows.

This deck is perfect for semi-private events with a tight budget for 25-45 people.

Private Boat

#1: Boat rental charge

All extras such as live entertainment, decorations and special requests will be quoted individually.

Semi-private (lower deck)

#1: Lower deck rental charge

This option is perfect for smaller groups of 25-45 guests. If you are less than 25 guests, the best option is a sharing dinner cruise.

You will be joining our regular cruise hours and have the lower deck of the boat exclusively, with other guests on the upper deck.

Most frequent questions and answers

Example #1: Private Event

Lets say you want to have a fully private event from 8-10pm, with 75 guests and a the bronze menu.

  • Boat rental: 2500/hour x 2 hours = 5000 AED
  • Catering: 65/per person x 75 people = 4875 AED
  • Total = 9875 AED

Note: decorations, entertainment & any drinks packages to be discussed seperately. For duration of 3 or more hours we will provide discounts.

Example #2: Semi-private

Lets say you want to have a semi-private event for 35 guests, during our normal dinner cruise time.

  • Lower deck rental: 2000 AED
  • Catering: 65/pp x 35 people = 2275 AED
  • Total = 4275 AED

Yes you can, although we dont recommend this.

Many people are under the impression that catering = food, but besides the food, there is a lot involved

  • Waiters
  • Table setup
  • Cuttlery/crockery
  • Buffet setup
  • Food delivery (special truck + equipment)

So if you plan to have your own catering, you will need to find a caterer that will be able to provide all of the above.

Yes, we can make a completely custom menu for your party.

If you go for a private function, there is no restriction on timings since you are paying per hour.

The prime time hours (8-11pm) are more expensive because they conflict with our daily dinner cruise.

For semi-private events, you will be joining our dinner cruise and so have to follow the timing of it:

  • 8.30 – 9.00 pm boarding time
  • 9.00 – 10.45 pm cruising

We have a licensed bar onboard and drinks can be bought for an extra charge if you would like them. We can also work out an alcohol package for your event on request.

You can reach us by car, or the metro – this involves an approximately 20 minute walk.

Entertainment is also a tricky component since any live performance in Dubai requires a permit.

We can offer you 3 forms of entertainment

  • Live female singer
  • Live tanura dancer
  • Magic show

Any other entertainers will need to be discussed seperately and will cost more.

Dubai is filled with plenty of businesses from small operations to large multinational corporations and like people, businesses need a time to take a break from the monotony of work and to refresh their spirits and improve motivation.

Most organizations have an event atleast once a year and at Alexandra we try to make it a point to make every event memorably and genuinely enjoyable.

In reality, a lot of employees participate in such events not because they particularly want to, but because they are expected to. We believe its not right, and work meticulously to ensure that every event is planned to perfection.

There are 4 key elements of any corporate event and only when all 4 work together in unison is the event a success.

#1 VENUE: CORPORATE EVENT VENUE IN DUBAI

The first and foremost element of any event planning is selecting the venue.

Alexandra is a unique venue and is a perfect fit for a small to mid-size organization.

Here are some quick characteristics of the venue:

  • Upper open air deck, 55 people seating capacity

  • Lower air conditioned deck, 55 people seating capacity

  • Boat is fully wired with top of the line sound system and wireless microphone

  • Buffet tables on upper deck and lower deck

  • Sound system allows for any kinds of audio setup

#2 MENU: CORPORATE DINNER RESTAURANT

Everyone enjoys a good meal, and a corporate event is not possible without a good meal that everyone will enjoy.

Everyone however has a different perception of a good meal is.

Every corporate team is comprised of different nationalities and thus its important to select a menu that everyone will enjoy.

Besides the taste in menu, another important aspect is budget – and the menu must match the allocated budget of the business.

#3 LOGISTICS & TIMING

Logistics & timing of the event is crucial to make the event a success.

Some teams prefer a lunch timing, some prefer an early dinner and some prefer a late evening cruise.

Some prefer to join our sharing cruise and some want to have a private cruise with a custom duration of the cruise.

Some corporate companies require transportation.

Table arrangement and set up is also unique to every team and needs.

#4 CORPORATE ACTIVITIES IN DUBAI & ENTERTAINMENT

The last component of any private event is the entertainment or live show.

We offer 4 main activities for corporate events:

TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES & HOST

The Team Building Activity consists of splitting the entire group into equal teams and going through a set of games which require the teams to work together in order to defeat the other teams.

This lasts about 60-90 minutes and is only feasible for around a maximum of 50-55 people.

LIVE SINGER

We have a full time singer, Natalia who sings pop, jazz and soft rock in English. She is able to do a maximum of 2 x 30/40 minute sets.

LIVE TANURA DANCER

We also have a full time dancer – Walid, who is a real maestro when it comes to dancing. He can ‘spin’ for a straight 15-20 minutes and his show is truly dynamic and visually impressive.

MAGIC SHOW

For private events, we work with Ashik, who is a very well known magician in Dubai and is able to do a wide range magic tricks that will amaze even the most harden sceptics.
